Dr. Nick Lunn
Nick was born and raised in Surrey, in the south-east of England. He went to university in Manchester for four years where he was trained in Biblical Studies. After returning to Surrey, he obtained a teaching certificate in English as a Foreign Language, and taught at a school in Wimbledon for nine years. During this time he met and married Amanda.
In 1996 Nick left his teaching position and joined Wycliffe Bible Translators. With Amanda and their two sons, they went to Kenya where Nick worked on several translation projects and ended up as a translation consultant (who checks the accuracy of translations against the original languages). While in Kenya, Nick undertook part-time doctoral research in Hebrew at the London School of Theology and was awarded his PhD.
The family returned to Surrey in 2004. Nick has continued to work as a consultant with Wycliffe on a number of Central Asian projects. As a result of involvement in one of these projects, Nick also became involved in the Pars Theological Centre.
